Pours an opaque brown that's almost black. The aroma is certainly barrel aged wood and bourbon but also buttery and toffee like. The taste is semi-sweet chocolate, with bourbon and oak notes, port wine and a slightly sour finish. A heavy mouthfeel warns you not to hit it too hard. Of the two barrel aged Dagdas (Rum and Bourbon) this one is slightly better.

L: Pours a dark chocolate, forming a thin tan head that is quick to fade. There is some residual bubbles on the surface and a thin ring of lacing around the edge of the glass. Held to the light, an opaque near-black.
S: Both bourbon and rum on the nose, following the description on the bottle label. There is a hint of dark fruit, some oak, char.
T: Bourbon barrel, alcohol, notes of chocolate, oak, tobacco. More bitter than sweet.
F: Medium- to full-bodied, biased towards medium. Thinner, more clean mouthfeel - not sticky.
O: Good bourbon-barrel aged imperial stout, just a little too much barrel and booze and not enough complimentary flavors
