This was another beer that I picked up down at Source in Colts Neck a few months ago. Loved the description of it and of course, the taste of this lived up to it as this was another well-crafted and plush offering from them that did not last in my pint glass for very long!
Full of mandarin oranges, this had the appearance of it too as the liquid was orange, cloudy, and subtly bright. Enough head topped it off as that settled fairly quickly, leaving behind some thin and wavy lacing near the top of my glass. A ton of citrus and coconut were in the aroma as the milk sugar and tropical fruit emerged on the palate. Toasted and sweet in nature, this felt like something out of Hawaii minus anything exotic as the vanilla bean really came on strong once this fully warmed up. A bit of cream and stickiness stuck around in the aftertaste as the hops were nowhere to be found and the same could have been said for the carbonation.
Dated 4/22 with "MYTHICAL FRUIT SALAD" written underneath it, this almost seemed too good to be true but indeed, it wasn't since Source concocted this. Wonderful for the summer and lacking in any overt booze, grab a can on this to get it away from it all here in the northeast!
