Spent 4 hours going through all of their on draft offerings and took another $400 in bottles to go. Very nice atmosphere, staff very friendly and knowledgeable about their beers. Worth the 5 1/2 hour drive to get there. Will definitely be returning.

Beautiful grounds and building. All the beer is served in style specific glassware. All of the beer I tried to as excellent and the staff was very friendly. This is a must visit if you are in the area.

Spring visit, outdoors, sunny tables and deck. Hosted in a former barn on Route 34 in the Bruce Springsteen's home town, Colts Neck. Farmhouse feel, farm beers in feature, lots of juicy IPAs. The Crowd is happy, and the service is perfect. Food/snacks available. Must see.

Cool decor and laid back vibe, ~12 beers on tap and most were above average. Doing some interesting stuff and probably an amazing place to hang out at during nice weather; will definitely be back.

On paper, Source is close to everything I look for in a brewery. A beautifully built farmhouse-style building, good range of offerings to choose from, outdoor seating, etc.

The building is really nice and they clearly put a lot of money into it. Beautiful wood interior that gives it a country feel with a slight modern twist. There is a grassy area outside that was too cold to hang out in when I was there, but would be nice to bring a blanket and chill when the weather is nice.

I was there on a weekday afternoons and it wasn't that crowded, yet still took way too long to get a beer. The service is slow and the line bartender was trying to juggle filling growlers with filling regular pours for other customers. If there were 5 or 6 people ahead of me at the bar it was almost a 10 minute wait to get a beer. That's too long. I can't imagine what it's like when it's crowded.

I had both lagers that were on tap when I was there, a Helles and a Pils. Both were very good with the Pils being better than the Helles. Neither blew me away but solid nonetheless. Served in proper glassware too, which I appreciated.

Overall, I didn't have a bad time here. Something was just missing for me. The brewery lacked a little in character and personality. Perhaps its's because the beer is not as rustic as the location. The brewery as a whole has a trendy, modern vibe to it which the building does not match. Maybe my expectations were too high. I'll definitely give it another shot in the future, hopefully when it's nice enough to sit outside, and I'll promise to keep an open mind when I do.

This brewery was highly anticipated and clearly well-financed. It's located in what appears to be a former barn on Route 34 in the upscale community of Colts Neck. The space is very nicely fit-out with a main tasting area and an upstairs area that was being used for a private party the day we visited. There are also outdoor seating areas. It's clear that a lot of time - and money - went into the fit-out. The tasting room was crowded and many of the patrons appeared to be regulars in view of the amount of Source gear they were wearing. The staff was friendly and efficient. The beer was quite good - particularly for a brewery open fewer than six months. They had about a dozen beers on draught and two canned beers. Overall, Source Farmhouse Brewery is a very nice brewery to visit and I intend to do so again whenever convenient.

Good spot to hang out and drink. Family-friendly, too. There's a downstairs area and upstairs area depending on whether you mind the presence of children (upstairs is exclusively for grownups).

The brewery itself is located in the rich farmlands of Colts Neck, NJ, directly next to Delicious Orchards on Route 34, making the scenery and locale quite rural (for New Jersey, anyway).

Only two downsides, but blaming the brewery for either may be unfair. The first is the lack of selection. When I visited at the end of August 2019, they were out of approximately half of their beers (this includes all lagers). This isn't to say that the ones I tasted weren't good (just the opposite), but the dearth of choices was palpable. Besides the lacking variety, the prices were somewhat steep. For a 12 oz pour, I paid between 6-7 dollars. Also, unlike most craft breweries, income tax wasn't included in price. Breweries usually charge fairly cheaply for beers purchased directly on-site; this place is a notable exception. I think, however, that this may be due to the wealth of the area and the financial difficulty (in general) of starting a business in New Jersey, so I'm not sure I can fault them for their prices.

In all, very tasty beers; good family vibe. I'd rate it as better than Carton and Jughandle, but not as good as Kane. However, I was only able to try a couple of their beers owing to the lack of selection. Perhaps the "better" ones sold out
