This was another brew from Source that I picked up recently at Jim Dandy's in Nutley, as I was able to obtain a single can of this there. No doubt that this was one of the smoothest beers from them that I've been able to get my hands on, as this felt like something from SingleCut that got me hooked on IPA's from this neck of the woods. Indeed, this did not last in my pint glass for very long!
Of course, this was cloudy as it had a full and spongy head that evenly topped the liquid off and took long enough to settle down. Not a lot of lacing stayed behind as that was this beer's only drawback. A lush and exotic aroma of ctirus, grapefruit, and pomelo was softly felt in the nose as the taste was much more bright and up-front. Sticky, lush, and full-boded because of the oats and wheat, this was nicely carbonated, fun to swish around, and the slightest bit dank as the hop bitterness was undetectable from start to finish.
A bit of blood orange and fresh-squeezed juice lingered in the back as that easily left me wanting more. Canned on 3/29 with "KIA CAR" written below it, this was a great way to showcase a hop that I'm not terribly familiar with, although I couldn't detect the pine that was listed on the can as on of it's attributes. Love the playing card / Great Gatsby design on the label as this was simply intricate and another reason of why I'll continue to seek their releases out!

Can to snifter . sampling of 5 new NJ beers on a lazy sunday afternoon.
LOOK: very hazy bright yellow. medium white head. good retention.
AROMA: musty lemon, citrus, palm,
TASTE: ligh tlemon, pineapple, tropical fruit. coconut. palm, grasses. very tasty.
FEEL: medium body, super drinkability,
Very tasty brew...need to get myself to Source and try a few more of their creations. This is even better than the "Ultra Nelson" one I had a bit ago.
