We asked, you answered, and we listened. One of our favorite brews from the rotating Single Silo Series is back! Ultra Cashmere is big, hazy, juicy, and packed to the brim with hop notes of ripe peach, freshly squeezed OJ, juicy melon, nectarines, and apricots. The mouthfeel is super mellow and soft and the bitterness is restrained to accentuate the fruity hop flavors.

Picked up a single can of this recently at Joe Canal’s in Woodbridge. Love my Source brews and although this wasn't as good as their best offerings, this was amazingly soft and plush as it felt like a stone fruit brew in a can, with a few clouds tossed in for good measure!

Hazy, muted, and gold, this had the appearance of a New England IPA with a sufficient head topping it off. Very little lacing was left behind as there were just a few hints of suds that lingered as they faintly remained in the formation of rings down the side of my pint glass. Lots of peach, apricot, and nectarine in the nose as hints of orange juice, white wine, and light spice emerged in the taste. Effortlessly smooth and soft, there was just a bit of wood, sweetness, and booze underneath as they easily complemented the flavors here and made this an absolute pleasure to drink. A nice slickness, light carbonation, and nearly undetectable hop presence made this feel like juice, that just happened to be fermented.

The warmth from the alcohol came through in the back as the aftertaste was reminiscent of honeydew on a summer afternoon. Dated 3/29 with "SOFTER THAN CASHMERE" written underneath it, this was a great way to show off that hop while being plenty full and juicy at the same time. Love their single silo offerings and this was a great find that was perfect for a late spring night. The pastel label and hint of wheat in the body only added to this beer's appeal, and the impression that it left on me when all was said and done. Truly delightful!

Cloudy orangey yellow with two fingers of white foam. Aromas of the cashmere hop are on full display: leafy and floral hop bitters dropping muted bombs of peach, melon, and lemon. Just want a bit more intensity, and given the taste I know it is there! Taste is much the same, but the melon is more honeydew, add some lime zest as a kicker. Feel is lush with hop juice, so soft and ripe, but hope finish is gentle.

Poured from a 16 ounce can into a snifter.

Look- Deep straw, hazy, small amount of particulate sediment, creamy white head, average head retention, above average lacing.

Smell- Melon, herbal, spicy, resin, subtle peach. Nice bouquet, but not very powerful.

Taste- Melon, peach, herbal, resin, spicy and slightly sweet finish.

Feel- Creamy, medium body, slightly below average carbonation, low bitterness, spicy and slightly sweet lingering finish, mouth warming.

Overall- Delightfully enjoyable beer.

A: The beer is very hazy and a bit pale yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high white head that took a very look time to die down and left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass and a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Light to moderate aromas of peaches and limes are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, but the flavors of peaches are a bit stronger. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied, juicy, and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really liked the combination of peach and lime flavors in this IPA. They weren't especially strong, but they offered a nice contrast.
