Picked this up a few months back at The Bottle King in Livingston as I love Source and will pretty much obtain anything that I can get my hands on from them. Sure, this wasn't brewed yesterday but it was an enjoyable Stout that was real easy to drink and reminded me of a morning brew - down to the slick mouthfeel of something that was freshly roasted.
The can told me to give this a shake and pour it straight down to let the foam cascade down and of course, I followed suit. To my surprise, this looked like Guinness when it ended up in my pint glass although the liquid was mocha and the head quite thick at the onset - although it settled down into a thin, tan cap that offset the liquid quite drastically. Loads of mocha, fresh-brewed coffee, and cacao in the nose as the taste was equally dark and roasted. Thin, slick, and sticky brew had the oats in the taste but not in the body as this was a bit more watery than I would have liked. A bit of raisin emerged in the midst of this but the taste was somewhat lacking although there wasn't any sediment to be seen at the bottom of my pint glass.
I say that because the date on the bottom of the can was 3/24 with "CHOKOLETI & KAHAWA" written underneath that. Yeah, this was old and I took a rise buying a beer that was 41/2 months old at the time of purchase but I wanted to see if this was up to par with their other offerings. It wasn't but this wasn't bad either as it was something to kick back with and sip quietly. A fresh can would have been ideal but in reality, this probably needed some tweaking and more bite to it to reach it's potential. Buy this for the lovely label and to replace your brew - especially if you don't want the bottom of an aging pot of joe. Worth a go once for Source groupies like me...

Ordered from Tavour, chilled and poured into an imperial pint glass.
Look: dark brown, almost black. Hard poured and left a finger and a half light tan head that left almost no foam or lacing as the beer warmed.
Smell: sweet day old coffee, light roast
Taste: watery up front, followed by a light bitter note, watered down day old coffee, sweet roast that die into a watered down beer aftertaste
Feel: light feel with water after that really just kills any after feel fullness or flavor
Eh- that kind of beer.Java? Maybe a little. Oats? Uh, NO... stout? Not a chance. I would rather drink something else. Not a good beer. If you like a stout you don’t have to chew on, perhaps this one is for you... me, not so much...
Cheers? Sorry, its hard to cheers with bad beer...
