Miss buying Girl Scout Cookies? This would fill in nicely for them! Ditto for anything homemade that took you back to family gatherings of yesteryear. No doubt that this had a wonderful, homemade feel to it as it was incredibly sweet and smooth and with hardly any alcohol to boot, this was a smooth and quick sipper that I had to pace myself through!
Quite lovely pour to this as the dark, silky liquid was topped off by the softest, smoothest, and longest-lasting beige head that I've seen on a beer in a *very* long time. A good amount of that stuck around on the side of my glass as the foam never fully settled down. Loads of milk chocolate, cookie dough, vanilla extract, and thin mints in the nose as the taste was also chock full of dessert and stickiness. Well-rounded and filling because of the oats, the lively carbonation helped to balance this out as the aftertaste wad brown sugar and cloying lactose that left me wanting more!
I normally don't think of something like this as being a session beer, but this would easily fit that bill as it would be easy to crack another one open and smash pour it out after finishing this off! Dated 12/7 with "BAKED WITH BOLERO' written below it, this was a fun beer that would put a smile on anyone's face - even without a spatula to lick afterwards...
