Fall may be gone but this easily was a brew worthy of enjoyment year-round as I picked this up not too long ago at Joe Canal's in Woodbridge. The Cream Ale that Source brewed for Halloween was amazing and this wasn't anywhere near as potent as that but somehow, I fell in love with this too as it was good enough either as a dessert or on it's own on a later winter's day.

This had a wondrous ruddy brown hue to it that let the light in perfectly around the edges. A full, apple head topped it off as it settled evenly and almost knew that I was going to get a shot of it since it took seemingly forever to settle down. Once it did, soapy and wavy layered rings of lacing were left behind as they coated a majority of my glass. Loads of apple, cinnamon, and brown sugar in the subtle nose as some cream, and soft sweetness came in on the palate and held their own throughout. Just a bit of booze was underneath everything but this felt like a cross between apple pie and strudel on the palate as both apple pie crust and milk sugar and waxy apple skin on my teeth were left once this finally went down.

This was so easy to fall in love with, even if you're not a big autumn person like me. The carbonation, body, and booze were spot-on as this felt like cider but not as sticky and more refined. Dated 1/25 on the bottom of the can with "LESS CRUST MORE FILLING" written below it, this was an impressive beer that easily deserves another go-around. Source continues to win me over while having fun with their releases (and can art!) and those of us here in the Garden State are all the better for it.
