Picked this up recently at the Bottle King in Chatham, as it was released while I was away on my last trip. Saw that this was brewed for our Armed Forces as this turned out to be like much of what else I've had from Source. Balanced, easygoing, and fun to drink, there was plenty of flavor here without being overly strong or hoppy.
This had a nice, golden hue to it as it's uniformity and clarity were quite nice to behold, as this was topped off with plenty of full and evenly-setting head. Uneven, webbed rings were left behind as they got thinner near the bottom of my glass. Lots of melon, peach, and stone fruit in the aroma as the taste was a bit more rounded out because of the wheat and Oat Malt. Chewy, nicely carbonated, and just a bit nuanced like white wine, there was a nice amount of tea and white peach in this which gave it just a bit of spice and dankness, although the back was a bit sticky and slightly sweet.
Loved the nuances of this and how smoothly this went down, as the alcohol was nearly undetectable. Dated 5/17 with "SEMPER FI" written below it, this had nice hops in it that made this feel exotic, while being refreshing and softly reassuring at the same time. Orrah indeed, for this beer worthy of those who serve this country!
