Picked this up recently at Source as this part of the drop that the 3rd Anniversary highlighted. Brix City had a hand in making this and although I haven't had anything from them in ages, I enjoyed much of their offerings and could feel their influence in this juice bomb. Indeed, this was slick, exotic, and fun to drink as this did not stay in my glass for very long!
Not to my surprise, this had a hazy, muted goldenrod hue to it that was bright enough and topped off with a full and fluffy head that took it's time to settle, Only a thin and tilted ring of lacing remained near the center of my glass as most of the rest of the suds slid down after each sip. A ton of Golden Promise Malt was in the nose along with a good amount of stone fruit and some earthy hops as the taste was just as full and lively. Peach and lime pith, jack and passion fruit, overripe nectar, and a hint of candied sugar and papaya pulp came through as this was quite heavy - partially due to the presents of the malt, oats, and lack of overt carbonation. That led to a cloying and sticky aftertaste that was lip-smacking good, and begging for another go-around.
Sure, there was booze here and I warmed up a wee bit while having this, as I felt a bit more on my breath after finishing this off. Canned on 8/2 with "JERSEY JAMS" written beneath it, this was a tried and true Jersey beer from two of the better breweries in the Garden State. If you like your Imperial IPA full of stone fruit and balanced, you have your match here. Enjoy jamming out to this!
