Picked this up at Source after missing out on it the first time around. I've picked fruit over the years at Battleview so it was nice to see that this was done in collaboration with them and even though it's certainly not fall-like outside right now, this was quite enjoyable on this hot and steamy day!
Not to my surprise, this poured like apple cider as the luminescence was quite pleasing when held up to the light. A ton of thick head topped this off as it looked like bread, although the lacing left behind was quite sparse aside from a hint of a wavy ring near the top of my pint glass. Lots of apples, cider, milk sugar, and cinnamon in the nose as the taste was somewhat rustic and outdoorsy with a nice hint of underlying spice. Not as sweet as I thought, this had a lively carbonation to it that kept the stickiness to a minimum as this was quite slick in the aftertaste.
No sign of the alcohol here as it would have been easy to crack another one of these upon finishing this. Canned on 9/26 of last year with 'HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES" written below it, this was a fun and unique beer that wasn't unlike anything I've ever had before. Once again, Source takes a relatively uncommon style and makes it their own!
