This was another beer from Source that I picked up late last year at either Fanwood or Garwood, as I enjoyed their other offerings from the Ultra series. While Galaxy is not my favorite hop, I love it when it's showcased right and of course, that was the case here as there was plenty of dankness and bitterness going on here along with a full body and easy of drinkability!
The pour to this was golden, hazy, and topped off with a lovely head that complemented the liquid nicely. Thick suds containing well-defined lacing stuck around along the bottom half of my glass as the foam never fully subsided. Loads of wheat, stone fruit, outdoorsy pine, and light weed were in the nose as the taste contained turbid citrus, oats, peach pith, apricot rind, and a bit of exotic fruit as this was a balanced and full-flavored beer with a nice nuance to it. A light amount of carbonation allowed the notes to linger as it was dewy and softly slick in the back, like weighted tangerine juice.
Not strong nor weak in heft, the amount of alcohol was spot-on for a beer of this style. Dated 11/22 on the bottom of the can with "SMELLS SPACEY" written below it, this was on it's way to being out of this world, for the style. Fans of Galaxy would enjoy this solid offering from Source that pleased in every way!
