This was another beer from Source that I picked up at the brewery late last year, as I never had it before. Hard to categorize this as it was a cross between a Sour, New England, and an American since it had an odd flavor profile and was quite sweet, fruity, and tart all at the same time. For the holidays, this was a nice alternative to fruitcake as it was much less likely to sit in a fridge or be given away to an unsuspecting relative!

If you combined all of the ingredients and tried to describe the resulting hue, this would be the end result as it was an odd reddish-orange color that let in quite a bit of light around the edges. A ton of quiet, solid foam topped this off as broken hints of lacing remained after each sip that showed me how much I imbibed at a time. Lots of berry patch, Jolly Rancher hard candy, and fruit funk were in the nose as some tartness, sticky sugar, and subtly dank hops came in on the palate. This was so hard to pinpoint but the intriguing nature of this beer held my attention as it was lively in carbonation and had a nice body to it, as the back was full-bodied only a tad artificial.

The amount of alcohol present was spot-on as the juice won the day here. Dated 11/29 with "JUICE" written underneath it, this was an anomaly that had me on my toes until the last sip. Grab a few of these and watch Elf - even if it's not the holiday season. This will make you feel young at heart again while taking you back to more carefree and saccharine times of yesteryear...
