Who wouldn't want a beer that sounded this interesting? Donuts, challah, and fruit combined for plenty of sweetness, body, and glaze as this was not quite like anything I had before. Indeed, this was a bit like the Christmas Cake that I just reviewed but for some reason, was closer to a Hannukah beer like I envisioned!
Such a deep, reddish-violet berry hue to this as it was quite cloudy and topped off with a massive head that was mostly spongy with the exception of a big bubble or two. A thick sheen was left behind as there wasn't much lacing that remained once I worked my way through this. Lots of strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, and jam in the nose as the taste was just as fruity, sticky, tart, and just a bit spicy from the cinnamon. Sweet bread and danish came in as this felt like a breakfast delicacy, as this was lip-smacking in the back!
Lively on the palate, this was nicely carbonated and just strong enough to give me the slightest of buzzes before the last sip. Canned on 12/13 with what appeared to be "SUFRANITA" written underneath it, this was another fun beer from Source that went down nicely like a natural soda and felt quite outdoorsy throughout. Enjoy it during the high holy days, or when that sweet tooth needs to be taken care of!
