This was the fourth in series of gemstone beers that were released by Source, as I was able to get my hands on this before taking off last summer. While this was enjoyable, it didn't break any new ground for me but you enjoy what these guys are putting out, then you don't disappointed by this soft and soothing brew!
Like most beers from these parts, this was golden, hazy, and topped off with a thick head of spongy foam. A small collar at the top and wavy suds along the bottom third of my pint glass were left behind as I worked my way through this. Tangy citrus, lychee, exotic fruit, and jolly rancher sweetness were in the soothing nose as the taste was equally juicy, sweet, and soft. Amazingly easy to quaff, this got a bit more dank and sticky as it warmed up with the wheat and oats ensuring that there was plenty of body to be had.
The carbonation was moderate and the alcohol nearly hidden as there were only a few bits of sediment at the bottom of the liquid. That was due to this beer's age, as it was canned on 5/9 of last year with "BALANCE" written below that. So much to enjoy here as once again, Source has another winner on it's hands!
