This was another beer that I picked up at Source recently, as part of their Mythos series. Liked the idea behind it, even though I missed out on getting the other iterations that were previously released, though this was quite enjoyable on its own.
As the name implied, this was a bright beer from the get-go. Golden, a tad cloudy, and topped off with enough foam, the only part of this beer's appearance that could have been better was the lack of lacing. Only a few dots remained after each sip as the suds slid right down. Lots of watermelon, melon, and cantaloupe in the nose to go along with some tropical fruit cocktail, Cryo Pop , and booze. The taste was full, somewhat slick, and quite sticky as it almost felt like a mixed drink at times.
Indeed, this was strong and the back end had a bit of nectar to go along with the honeydew melon and hops that fully emerged once this completely warmed up. A bit of tangy lime could be felt too as I warmed up a bit from all of the alcohol. Canned on 7/2 with "SUN GOD" written underneath it, this was a fine beer that was on par with their other IPA's, although this didn't break any new ground. Next time, I'll roll and can and pick a slightly cooler evening to enjoy this during!
