Introducing Liberty Pils, our newest light and crispy lager brewed to celebrate the 4th of July.
Crafted with meticulous care and a dash of patriotism, this hoppy, refreshing, American lager will liberate your taste buds and have you feeling a surge of pride for the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Liberty Pils was brewed with a base of extra pale premium pilsner malt lightened even further with the addition of flaked rice. Only American hops were used in this fine lager - Sterling and Idaho 7 in the kettle and Citra and more Idaho 7 in the fermenter for the dry hop.
After a low and slow fermentation followed by extended cold conditioning in a horizontal lagering tank, this finely tuned brew pours a brilliant, straw-light golden hue into a glass, evoking the glimmering colors of fireworks on a summer’s eve.
You can expect a super light-bodied brew that is a pleasure to drink on any occasion. Liberty Pils radiates a mesmerizing, hoppy bouquet and it’s gentle bitterness is dialed in, ensuring an ultra crispy and refreshing drinking experience.
Cheers to life, liberty, and the pursuit of hoppy happiness! ???
We get subtle notes of delicate sweet grain, bright citrus medley, orchard fruits, flower and herb garden, tropical fruits, and the liberating feeling of summertime fun in the sun.

Picked this up a few weeks ago down at Source, as I failed to get my hands on this last year when it was first released. No, a beer like this is never going to be more popular than the hoppier stuff but once again, Source has crafted a nice brew here that was easy to enjoy on a summer day!
Of course, this was golden, bright and bubbly as a ton of head topped this off. That took quite a while to simmer down as the foam on top of the liquid never fully dissipated. A decent amount of bubbly suds stuck around on the back of my pint glass after every sip, but that was the extent of the lacing. Lots of grain, floral, and herbal notes in the notes as this had one of the most pleasing aromas for beer of this style, that I've ever reviewed on here. Soft citrus blossom, malt, and exotic hops emerged on the palate with the underlying hint of an American Adjunct Lager somehow tying everything in together. Full-bodied, crisp, and just a tad skunky in the back, this was fun and easygoing without cutting any corners.
Just a bit of leftover grain and bread stuck around in the aftertaste as the carbonation was lively, but not overt. Canned on 6/24 with "PURSUIT OF HOPPINESS" written under it, this was another banger from these guys with an artful label to top it off. Easily fitting for the dog days of summer!
