Like Jimi Hendrix?
I do, but you don't have to to enjoy this unique offering from Source. Sure, it's purple and sure, it's hazy but there's a lot more going on here. This was an Imperial IPA but with so much fruit and overt lack of alcohol, this almost felt like an IPA crossed with a Fruited Kettle Sour!
Purple like prickly pear, this topped off by a ton of pinkish foam that had a ton of bubbles in it. Most of the spotty lacing slid down my glass after every sip as only a bit remained near the top. Loads of the aforementioned prickly pear was in the nose, along with clementine, tangerine, and citrus pith. White grape, candied sugar, and starburst came in on the palate as the sweet and tangy nature of this beer held firm throughout. Full in body and moderate in carbonation, the hops were present but not overt as this almost felt like fermented fruit juice.
Hard to detect the alcohol as I felt a bit of warming near the end of my session. Something "SKY" (KISS THE SKY?) was written on the bottom of the can, as this was probably a road to the rocker. Regardless, this was a fun beer with a fun theme and label that wasn't like much of anything I've ever reviewed on here. Quite the experience, indeed!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
