Fruitnator is a one-of-a-kind doppelbock lager that gracefully blurs the line between traditional German brewing and good ol’ fashioned American ingenuity. In collaboration with a consortium of fruit experts, we mindfully incorporated a variety of complementary fruits and fruiting techniques into a beer style that is typically devoid of any adjuncts.
During fermentation, Fruitinator was injected with fig purée to allow the Munich lager yeast to chew on the fruit sugars, providing this complex beer with a layer of figgy wine-like depth to support its toasty, malt-forward foundation.

Imperial Doppelback Lager with Cherry and figs? Yes please! Pours a murky dark brown with massive head that sticks around a while. Aroma is mainly tart cherry. Flavor is tart cherry, sweet fig, malty biscuit. Delicious. Micro carbonation adds to a creamy texture. Overall a fantastic beer, I hope they brew it again. Great flavor 16 months later…
