Picked this up down at Source a few weeks ago, as this was released back in mid-June. Sounded interesting, looked and tasted interesting, and proved once again that these guys are great at pushing the envelope and brewing something unlike anything else that they've done before!
Quite a unique look to this beer as it poured a fruity mix of strawberry and raspberry that was plenty murky and muted. A lovely pink, frothy head topped this off as it had bubbles of all sizes and took its time to settle down. The suds never left the edge of the liquid as the lacing left behind was pink, extensive, and very frosty-looking. Loads of tart raspberry, wild strawberry, and fruit patch in the nose as the taste was quite tart, rustic, and full of tangy citrus. The latter was a cross between pink grapefruit and pink lemonade as this nearly made me pucker up. Fruit sweetness with floral and botanical notes under it, this was a fully outdoor beer that would be perfect for a summer day anywhere, as there was plenty of body and a soft carbonation to complement the flavors.
Not a lot of booze to be had here as I never tasted or felt it. Canned on 6/17 with "HOPS IN THE SKIES WITH BERRIES", this might have been a play on a famous Beatles track but in the end, this was another lovely beer from Source that was appropriate for the season. Worth seeking out for fun lovers!
