This was another beer from Source that I picked up at the Brewery a few weeks back, as it was released in June. Loved the name and what was behind this and indeed, there was a bit of sorcery to this since it was so inviting on the palate!

A muted goldenrod in hue, this was topped off with more than enough head that was plenty full, but short-lasting. Once that quietly settled, there wasn't much of any lacing left behind as I had to look closely to find it. That was easily this beer's least-likeable attribute as everything else was solid. Tons of white peach, heavy-handed fruit, and exotic hops in the muted nose as this really came alive in the taste. Lots of oil, oats, wheat, Hawaiian Punch, and experimental hops resulted in a full-bodied beer that was incredibly smooth, softly slick, and enjoyable from the first sip. Juicy in feel but not quite in taste, this was grounded enough to be familiar but edgy enough to leave me figuring this out, and wanting more once it flew out of my glass.

Canned on 6/17 with "HOP ALCHEMY" written below it, this wasn't alchemy as it was completely possible and real. Sure, this idea behind this was tongue-in-cheek but the end result was a beer that was once again, not like anything else in Source's lineup but easily worthy of their better offerings that I've had over the years. This was just as much as the label and description led me to believe as it easily put a smile on my face. Cheers to tangible sourcery!
