Picked this up at Source late last year, as I'm a sucker for this style when done right! No doubt that this would be another quality brew from these guys as it aged nicely and was oh-so-soft from start to finish...
Of course, this was golden, hazy, and topped off with a full head that evenly and slowly dissipated. A bit of suds lingered on top of the liquid as the lacing was thick in the middle of my pint glass with bits of suds scattered below that. Oats, tangy fruit, deep citrus, and a bit of floral notes were in the nose as the taste was quite juicy and balanced at the same time. Some peach and white peach emerged as this warmed up as the Nectaron and Cryo Nectaron were quite persistent in the taste. A light carbonation and subtle slickness complemented the liquid nicely as this tangier fruits and pineapple stickiness were mostly felt in the aftertaste.
Really hard to detect the alcohol in this as this was dangerously light in heft. Dated 11/18 with "THANK YOU CNPD" written below it, there was so much to like here for fans of the style or Source. Once again, this made the right down the Colts Neck worth the time!
