Picked this up down at Source late last year, after ordering it online while I was away on my latest National Park run last fall. Wanted to try something from these guys, as they seem to master any style they tackle, and that was the case with this lovely offering as it was indeed a hearthlight during yet another cool, gray winter's day...
Lovely pour to this, as the liquid was a deep brass with plenty of full, even head topping it off. That took its time to settle as the lacing left behind was thick and layered rings that had nice definition to them. Loads of phenols, apple, and fall spice in the nose as the taste was full of those along with some pear, bread, and esters. A good amount of funk topped everything off and tied everything together, along with a lively carbonation that kept this fun!
Not a lot of booze here, as this felt stronger than it was in actuality. A chaser of water was needed to get it down, but I was ready have another after finishing this off. Dated 9/12 of last year with "BLONDE" written underneath it, this was true to style and nicely crafted as it was on par with the soothing label. What else would you expect from Source?
