Picked this up down at Source not too long ago, as this was something I wanted to have in my rotation here. This had a bit of a left coast feel to it, although it was more in the taste than in the mouthfeel or consistency of the liquid. In the end, this was a pleasing take on the style that was easily accessible at the same time!
A somewhat muted gold in hue, plenty of head topped this off as it evenly settled and took quite a while to dissipate. Suds topped the liquid throughout my session as the lacing was sufficient, but not layered. A moderate nose of tangy citrus, grapefruit, dank hops, and swamp water was also felt in the taste, as some bread, light tropical fruit, and a hint of celery funk emerged once this warmed up. A subtle, but lingering hop presence endured throughout, as a reminder of brews from out west that I've been fortunate to have during my runs out that way.
Soft hop oils and just enough carbonation were on par with the taste and let the subdued notes show as everything was nicely balanced. Dated 1/13 with "ITS ALL HAPPENING" written underneath it, this was good to kick back with as it was a smooth sipper with a bit of spelt and tea-like spice in the back to liven things up. Of course, the label was just as lovely as nearly all of Source's others but in the end, this was another pleasing brew that any imbiber would want to give a go!
