Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a hazed pink color with a head of puffy white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a good sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is heavy of a cherry and lime smell mixed with a strong musty and bready smell. Along with these aromas comes some yeast and a little bit of a salt and candied sugar aroma.
Taste – The taste begins with a crisp slightly sour cherry lime flavor that is matched with a light cracker malt base. As the flavors move forward the cherry fades a bit all while the lime increases in nature. Some light sea salt and yeasty tastes develop later on, and with a bit of funk and a light increase in the sourness, one is left with a rather crisp cherry-lime taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is very crisp and light with a carbonation level that is higher. The feel is great for the style and tastes and makes it a rather refreshing sipper.
Overall – A rather dry and slightly more sour farmhouse ale that is paired well with fruit flavors.
