A style of beer originating in the West Indies and West Africa, this is a smooth, roasty stout with a full body and sweet finish. The coconut cream addition solidifies it's tropical status. Another beer in our Local Landmark Series named for the former Dunes nightclub on Somers Point-Longport Blvd.

Pours from freshly-filled crowler into a tulip glass. It pours a dark mahogany with cola hues and a thin, light khaki-colored head and lacing. On the nose there is roasted malt, earthy char, tobacco smoke, and freshly-shaved coconut. This is really good! The base stout is dark and roasty with lots of earthy, bitter char. The coconut is very-well integrated into the flavor and doesn't feel like an adjunct. It's sweet but not distracting and it doesn't overwhelm the roasty bitterness. It finishes with distinct bitterness. The mouth feel is relatively thin with lite/moderate carbonation, and the 6.7% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, Dunes Til Dawn is an enjoyable summertime Stout.
