This beer heavily features Sabro hops which impart notes of tropical fruit, coconut, and vanilla. Simcoe and Centennial hops provide a strong backbone allowing the Sabro hops to shine.

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It is an attractive, cloudy, golden honey color with a modest ecru head and thin film of lacing. A rather subdued nose; it is malty with whiffs of citrus and pine. For a WCIPA the flavor is fairly unique. It is malt-forward with bitter lemon and grapefruit, along with pine sap. But what separates it from many other WCIPAs is the use of Sabro hops which contribute notes of coconut, mint, and cream which soften the west coast bitterness. This ale is fairly viscous and creamy with mild carbonation, and the 8% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, this is not your typical West Coast IPA and I wasn't sure how to rate it against the style. But I enjoyed drinking it and encourage SoPo to continue to work with this recipe.
