Our single hop series continues, this time dry hopped 100% with New Zealand Rakau. Notes of dank resin, pineapple, and white gummy bear.

There is something weird about this. Maybe that's what the hop actually tastes like but it seems oddly perfumey, and not like a Kölsch but more like some "washday miracle." I think of red grapes and soap. A bit harsh with astringency. I guess it's really kind of interesting, with the canteloupe, plum, and orange flavors
On the plus side, this pours a nearly clear yellow with more than adequate foam in the Bacchus tumbler. Moderate bitterness. From the 16 oz can purchased at the (gasp) Total Wine in some suburb of Nowhere. "Canned on 08/18/21" so it's only been standing on the warm shelves for not even three months.

Some things just exist to be. A simple thought, a not so good kiss, the second you clocked out at work... Like, here you are, living with these things. And this beer is kind of like that; nothing memorable, but it just exists like a lot of things do in this life. And that’s fine. I’ll sip it and exist with it. And maybe next time I’ll hope for a little more.
