collaboration with western collective, a different beer than the best of the west one they did around the same time apparently. still working my way through the harland stuff, up and down a little bit so far but mostly solid, and i liked this one quite well, definitely modern and summery, better refined than their hazy ipa, well made and drinkable beer here, mellow almost like a pale ale but still bitter. not as tropical as the name suggests, but there is some of that for sure, i actually find the hop mix relatively unique. good clarity on this and really pale, yellow at the most, frothy headed from the tap, looks sparkling and delicious, real light. clean nose too, nothing at all from the yeast to me, fun hop profile too, some nelson in the mix, zesty, melon, key lime, coconut, green grape, summery and kind of light but also with some bitterness, early onset in the flavor. the grain is way light, maybe just pils malt, slightly crackery and even faintly european like that. a bit of a cotton candy thing up front, really fruity, even berry forward for a second from the hops. lemongrass, honeydew, cut flowers and grass, nice and dry overall, some minerals underneath giving it earthiness too, very fresh as well which makes the hops pop, light in body, and easy drinking even at this abv. hop spiciness comes on late, helps it finish, cool blend of hops for sure. nice beer, among my favorites from harland so far, but i still have a lot more to try! glad to have these guys selling in boise! ill drink more of this one.

16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Clear golden pour, off-white foamy head sticks around. Fruity aroma, musty, cheese, oranges. Taste is a weird hoppy melange, part tropical, part citrus, part pine. On the dry side, sticky. A flavor in there I can't quite place.

A quite delicious collab between Western Collective and Harland; this is Harlands canning and it pours clear, effervescent gold with a large off-white head. Lots of expressive hops on the nose and palate leading to a to tropical, juicy theme throughout; lime, grapefruit, lots of Nelson vibes with grapes and gooseberries, white wine spritzer, earthy reefer, some caramel malt undertones...really fun stuff.
