Clear bright yellow with plenty of foam in the Tripel Karmeliet tulip. Aroma of berries and a whiff of pine. The flavor is unusual. It is more woody than bitter. Pleasant fruity taste but not very sweet. Flavors of blueberry and lemon with a green vegetable finish. Quite sharp finish. Overall this is an interesting hoppy brew for sipping, and to update your hop education. The Kohatu is a new hop to me; a descendant of Hallertau Mittelfrüh and a New Zealand hop. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'shea Brewing. Dated 12/30/25.
