Collaboration with Horus Aged Ales
Big ole pastry stout. Brewed with our good friend Kyle at Horus. This is big, viscous, complex, and has 70 Lions Bars in it! We then aged it on a blend of cocoa nibs from Ghana and Ecuador, and a ridiculous amount of vanilla. Once again a blend, this time Madagascar Bourbon, and Ugandan vanilla beans. This is the definition of a dessert beer.

Finally made my way over to Original 40. After trying five tasters, I went into this bad by. Couldn’t wait to try this because Horus Ales was involved. Untappd called it a “Big ole pastry stout. Poured a pitch black color with two fingers of khaki tan frothy head when I got it. No noticeable bubbles underneath. Excellent lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled chocolate syrup, milk chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, marshmallow and milk. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted better than the nose. Not boozy at all for 12.8 pct. Got sticky chocolate syrup, milk chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, marshmallow, s’mores, semi-char wood and light bitter coffee beans. (Taste - 4.50)
Full body. Sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Just an awesome beer overall. A little steep on the price, but glad I got to try it. (Overall - 4.25)
