Went to Windmill Farms specifically for Dino Park, a collab between Toppling Goliath and North Park. Unfortunately it wasn’t there so instead I bought 12 singles and a 6-pack of Aurora Hoppyalis. Untappd description for this one was “DDH West Coast DIPA w/ Mosaic Cryo, Mosaic Incognito and Citra.”
Poured a medium amber clear color with two fingers of frothy-to-fizzy off-white head. Could see a few bubble streams coming up from the bottom (faster) and the sides (slower) of the glass. Good foggy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled both the mentioned Mosaic and Citra. Specifically got mixed berry, Juicy Fruit gum, pine, herbal, black pepper, mango, lemon candy, grapefruit and grass. A bit surprised Strata wasn’t involved. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste was almost as good as the nose. I liked this. In order got Mosaic, mixed berry, Juicy Fruit gum, pine, resin, dank weed, herbal, black pepper, Citra, mango, lemon candy, grapefruit and grass. A bit surprised Strata wasn’t involved. This beer did not taste like a 9.0 pct. ABV offering. (Tasted - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, spicy finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Damn. Kind of surprised at how much I liked this one. Just an excellent West Coast Double IPA. (Overall - 4.25)
