Nose of varnish or maybe waxed linoleum. Quite sweet and very malty with a distinct and peculiar flavor. I thought citrus added to it, but it's more like a mix of chestnuts and walnut skins with some vitamin gummies. It gets unpleasantly bitter after a few sips. Yet so sweet and stewed fruit tasting. Woody and astringent aftertaste. How do you screw up a simple Lager made with malt and actual hops? From the 16 oz can purchased on the West Coast. No apparent date.
