I don't understand these average ratings. Albeit a regional Swiss traditional, Locher is a great innovator of brewing. And 1936 is a nice lunch lager (that I had with a Bavarian rendition of curry.)
In a style that often is a cloudy-ish golden, 1936 is crystal clear, pretty in the glass and has a nice foam. Smells are only slightly above average, mostly malt and not detectable aromatic hops. Tastes are balanced, barely enough hops to contain the sweet malt. But 1936 lets the meal work. On the light side of medium Feel.
As for the excellent Overall Hugs, Locher is an innovator of alcohol-free and early adapter of sustainable brewing. And their water from the Alps tastes pure. My fifth from Locher, I will not hesitate for a 6th. Prost !

Fizzy yellow with soft one finger head, generous lacing. Smell of corn, cereal. Taste is light, delicately sweet but leaves a light lingering sickly sweetness in the mouth. A macro beer pretending it isn't. It's decent in a delicate way but taste of adjuncts come through in the end.

L- Pale straw, clear, pours with 2mm white head, which later clears to lacing.
S- subtle, just some graininess.
T- Fresh, clean, some subtle dry hops come in later. The overall profile (to me) is like a pilsener.
F- Zesty carbonation in the mouth. Refreshing. Would be good on a hot summer's day.
O- Nothing out of place here. Refreshing light-tasting pilsener-style beer. On the flip-side it lacks anything particularly distinctive that might encourage me to buy it again.
'Fill date': 27/11/2018 Best before: 27/11/2019
Bought from Amathus drinks shop, Wardour Street, Soho, London. £2.30/330ml bottle.
