This beer has debuted in 2012 as a response to the -rightful- criticisms that the regular Efes has sugar and rice in it. It is a 100% barley malt beer, consistent with the German purity law. It is marketed as an upgraded version of the regular Efes although the price is more or less the same.
Appearance: typical golden pilsener color, not much of a foam and very limited sparkling
Smell: you can smell the malted barley quite well, though there still is a trace of that metallic-plastic smell of cheap mass beer.
Taste: kind of aromatic, the hops here are more bitter than the regular Efes, despite the "Malt" name, it is not a very malty tasting beer. You still get that roasted malt taste, but not so intensely. It is a bit on the lighter edge but has got character and taste. Hopsy, slightly bitter aftertaste/
Mouthfeel: not so full and creamy, but rather light. Kind of like a pale euro lager without the trashy metallicity
Overall: I think this is pretty much an standard pilsener style beer, neither outstanding nor bland or mediocre. It tastes better on tap, but is hard to find. It feels kind of nice terms of taste, but the looks and smell are not so impressive. Unfortunately it is one of the best beers produced and commercially available in Turkey. I would choose it over the other local beers whenever available, but prefer the imported stuff.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. My brother brought this one to me right from the brewery in Istanbul, Turkey. This is a special blend according to the description.
Appearance: Yellow amber, thin white head with mild lacing on the glass.
Smell: Faint smell of sweet sugars, with some malts and hops.
Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth light bodied. Taste of malts and light hops. Some sweetness on the aftertaste.
Overall: Good brew, not my favorite, but it was neat my brother bought this one for me while he was in Istanbul for a few months. Glad I got to try it.
