My initial thought upon drinking regular Mariachi was "this is kind of like repeatedly licking a battery," and that sensation was much, much heightened with Mariachi Black: there's a tangy sourness which is kind of cool and a metallic aftertaste with a light mouthfeel. The alcohol isn't noticeable in regular Mariachi but it is here. It's fun for the first ten sips and then goes rapidly downhill, with the last few swigs genuinely somewhat unpleasant.

Pours a light golden yellow with two finger white head that quickly recedes to a thin layer of head and no lace.

Strong lemon and agave smells, grain underneath, hints of malt sugars.

Leads with a firm agave profile, lemon and some spice present, malt sweetness, and a note of citrus hops.

And interesting feel, mix of spice, sourness, and carbonation with a off balancing smoothness. Quite a fun combination.

T ought to have more than a few because of the agave, but it is unique and delicious.

33cl Twist Top Bottle, posh looking set up, the bottle being black at the top and as you went down the body it got lighter and lighter.

The beer is flavoured with Lime and Agave, so the smell was of sweetned lime, lemon and whatever cactus is supposed to smell of.

Poured in my hotel room into a pint handled glass, it looked like a regular lager/pilsner. The body being bright, golden and clear. The snow white head started very thinly and soon faded away completely, although to be fair it did leave traces of lacing on the glass.

The beer tasted of lemon and lime, as you'd expect by the ingrediants and labelling (even though I couldn't read it, the pictures told you want was coming).

The beer had two months life left and was OK in a weird sort of way.
