Taster at the brewery. Golden pour, small bubbly head. Aroma presents itself with light yeasty notes and some savory aspects. Taste is also a bit on the sweet side, backed up by more Belgiany yeast. I found it to be somewhere between a saison and belgian pale

this new operation here right in downtown nampa has gotten off to a pretty good start in terms of the beers. this is a well made saison, especially for a batch one type thing, simple, and cleaner i the fermentation than the saison that i generally like to drink, nothing rustic or farmy or wild about this in the least, but its a nice beer either way, especially for the summer. a little more clear than i generally look for in these, this is really light, and not a huge head from the tap, or at least not great retention. aroma is of estery french type saison yeast, white wine, green apple, and pear notes, all real familiar, rise up the greet the nose, a soft floral character is there as well, a a saaz type hop thing on the back end, real minimal on the grain side. the taste is nice, clean for sure, fermented very dry, but without any of the earthy raw wheat character i like, and without much of interest from the yeast, this tastes like a 3711 type french saison, with little else in there to make it unique. that might be too much to ask for from a newer brewery though, and i was content with just a well made beer in my glass. a bti more carbonation would be good next time, but this is solid for a brewery that is just getting started. im looking forward to seeing where they go with saison from here!
