a tasty lager here, maybe the best beer they are making right now from an objective quality standpoint. there is lots to like here, the soft haziness of a keller type lager allows for a little more yeast and malt depth than a lot of these have, and unlike a few of their others in here, this one is in need of no additional refinement. its got a simple malt base, crackery pils type with the textural softness of maybe some wheat in the mix as well, coupled with a noble type hop profile that is not only grassy and bitter enough, but also has some light citrus to it, nothing out of the ordinary, just well compiled. the lagering is nice here too, patient and clean, with some minerals coming through and some residual lager yeast flavor as well that really makes sense in this. for how many basic yellow lagers exist out there in idaho now, its nice to have one like this that is decidedly a little more complex and old worldy. i thought this was really taste, loosely german, and something i would come back and drink again here. looking forward to seeing these guys grow up a little bit, but they are off to a nice start so far!
