Pours a mildly hazed bronze with outstanding head and lacing for the style and ABV.
Solid aromas of honey malt, slightly toasted citrus peel and ruby red grapefruit flesh.
The brew doesn't shy away from classic DIPA flavors, i.e., solid bitterness as opposed to something "juicy." The fruit that is there is red grapefruit, coupled with some solid white pepper and herbal notes. The simple one-two punch of Centennial and Cascade, albeit in aggressive DDH form, is very tasty. There is an almost briny finish. Overall and interesting flavor profile.
Great carbonation and mouthfeel. Drying at the finish.
An excellent DDH DIPA across the board.

More like a barleywine than an IPA.
