Poured from a pint can into a Nonic.
Pours just darker than medium-gold and cloudy. The head is decent, creamy, and lingering. The lacing is excellent.
Aromas of pineapple, peach, mango, grass, and chive.
Mildly sweet on the tip of the tongue with honey-kissed citrus and tropical notes. In midstream, some very creamy smooth grain and white pepper. The finish is a nice mixture of resin, chive, and grass. A hint of alcohol. Well balanced, but a little too restrained, and lacking a "middle act." A nice start; a good finish. But not enough substance.
Excellent feel. Well carbonated and very drinkable.
A decent IPA, but pretty unremarkable. Severance is definitely on my list to keep trying, but this isn't their best effort.

Dark blonde with a creamy head.
Aroma of grass and herb, some green malt, and slight pineapple.
Flavor is dank and green, like all SD local "hazy IPAs", no fruit really, just a bit of citrus rind and wet grass with some pipe bowl.
Feel is nice though, pretty resiny, medium creaminess, medium carbonation, some hang time.
Overall, not bad, not great, definitely not what you'd expect from a "New England style IPA".

Severance Love Notes IPA, 6.0% ABV. Pours medium golden with a one finger white head that left foamy lacing. Nose is pineapple and citrus, taste follows, with moderate bitterness. Decent mouthfeel, overall excellent.
