16-ounce can purchased at John's Marketplace in Beaverton, OR. Date stamp reads "07/01/25". Enjoyed in a 10-ounce Becher glass.
The body is pale corn gold and mostly clear with an almost subliminal touch of haze. The head of snowy white foam starts out fluffy and sudsy and recedes to an uneven collar and a thin skin by the middle of the glass. It leaves plenty of nice lacing, as densely textured as a Frank Zappa drum score. The nose is fruity-sweet with notes of green grapes, white wine, orange and lemon peel, and a dusty trace of mixed-berry-flavored chewable antacid tablets. The flavor starts out with tangy mixed citrus and white grape juice. There are notes of orange peel, lemon zest, pears, pineapple, red Twizzlers, and mixed berry jam. Malt is crisp and unobtrusive. Firm bitterness comes through in the middle and lasts through the long, drying, fruit-laden finish. There's also an appealing peppery character in the aftertaste.
Overall, this is a really nice modern West Coast IPA. Recommended for fans of fruit-forward IPAs who aren't afraid of a little bitterness.
