Appearance - Pours a hazy gold with four fingers of frothy white head.
Smell - spicy earthy and leafy hops, lemon peel, pepper, hint of honey, bready malts, and spicy earthy yeast.
Taste - spicy earthy and leafy hops upfront. The lemon peel, pepper, and hint of honey follow suit. The bready malts and spicy earthy yeast rounds out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carboation. Finishes crisp and dry with the malts and the spices lingering.
Overall - An approachable and crushable brew. This saison started off on the right foot but the elements got lost in translation in the taste. I wish the traditional elements took a bit more precedence in this one. Other than that, a respectable brew.
