a really dope coffee lager, a simple beer, but a great one, the beer in here was all better than its reputation would suggest so far, i was stoked on all we drank. this is done with wasatch coffee from just down the road, who i reckon is among the best in the country at what they do, no kidding, top ten for sure as a roaster, they slay, so its no surprise that the coffee profile of this beer is sensational, hints of almond, dry cocoa powder, and tobacco to it, which is interesting and makes an otherwise simple pale lager quite dynamic. i am surprised how light this is in appearance, yellow in color no brown hues from the coffee at all, but i think its blended with cold brew, but im not positive thats how they did it, its just real pale looking. i dont get much from the grain or the yeast to be honest, its clean enough in the flavor, but not a lot of lager yeast to taste in this, simple and minimal, so the coffee really runs the show. nutty and earthy and deep, with a light middle sweetness, some dark and milk chocolate tones, and a fruity almost cascara element. i thought this was excellent beer, but especially excellent morning beer, this is light and easy drinking, dry and well carbonated, low alcohol and high coffee, its awesome. its special coffee, so that might make this better than it would be with some other beans, but overall this is delicious. more please!

edit: i like this one more and more each time i drink it, so clean, so much honest coffee flavor, on the dry side for being this flavorful, and just oddly refreshing and addicting. light and bubbly and addicting, a sip is like a third of a pint glass for me, its one of those. ill drink at least one of these every time i set foot in ogden, easily their best beer, raising some scores, this keeps getting better and better!

edit: they can this now! a wonderful development for those of us who do not live near the brewery. i have yet to see any kind of distribution, but just knowing i can go there and load up has me excited! great choice for a brew to package!

edit: they continue to refine the coffee bean mix in this beer, and it keeps getting better. wasatch slays as a roaster, but the most recent run, canned 11/18/2020, is the best yet, super robust, chocolate forward, earthen, yum! this is the gold standard of coffee lagers for me now!
