This dank double IPA is all about silky oats carrying a tangerine explosion brought on by Segal estate-grown hops and copious doses of Mosaic.

Pours orange with a foggy-cloud to it. Two fingers of white head sit on top, with fair retention and lacing left behind. Aroma has a sugary, sweet note, with orange, salty melon, and caramel. Flavor profile is melon, orange, tangerine, and carries the residual sweetness of those fruits well. Mouth feel is medium in thickness, with a little fizziness to it. Overall, flavorful, and tasty, with an overall well-delivered package.
Served in a 12oz snifter from a 16oz can.

A well-crafted beer for many occasions. Not too strong. Enough sweetness from honey and caramel malt for those who dislike bitterness. Plenty of tangerine, grapefruit peel, and green onion to keep it interesting. Moderately full, but light, bright and well carbonated. Only sticking punt for this beer is the $18 price point. Not sure if it distinguishes itself enough to justify buying this on the reg.

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into a snifter. The beer is a bright clear copper with dozens of streams of fine carbonation rising to the surface. I get a fluffy eggshell white head foaming up on the pour and this recedes slowly to a sturdy edge layer and fine wispy surface layer.
THe aroma is a bit of melon and tropical notes with hints of orange and just a bit of grainy malt in the background.
No hint of the 7.7% abv on this brew from the nose.
First sip reveals a slightly slick textured average body with very fine and tingly carbonation. The beer does coat my palate after each swallow leaving a bit of sticky residue on my lips and tongue.
The flavor is relatively sweet with melon and honey mixing with a bit of orange fruit and then pith and rind bite on the finish. The finish lingers slightly bitter and dries out my mouth after each swallow.
Again the booze is well hidden with no warmth or black pepper bite. This is a very easy drinking DIPA for 7.7%. It is a little sticky which causes only the slightest of sipping speed, but generally this beer goes down easy and is complex enough without being overpowering. Worth a purchase if you like DIPAs.

Pours a clear deep golden orange in color with a finger of white head. Aroma is subtle but there is a bit of tropical fruit and some caramel malt. Taste has a touch of pine, citrus, and tropical fruits but the dominant note that I get is the caramel, it isn't overly sweet. Medium-ish body and low-moderate carbonation and a bit of a slickness. Overall this just isn't my thing.

Poured from a tall boy can to a snifter glass
It's a pretty common, uninspiring (nothing wrong with it) looking beer. The aroma is a nice, pleasant tropical fruit note, but no perceptible citrus tones.
The taste is where this beer shines the brightest. Excellent hoppy flavor that follows the nose and has a moderate level of sweetness with minimal hop bitterness. Very tasty.
Good feel as well with an almost creamy fizz to the carbonation as you drink it.
Overall: A really solids IPA that would make a great beer fridge staple. Not overwhelming or overly intense...Recommended.

From can dated 5/23
Pours an almost clear dark gold with a thick dollop of whitish foam atop that only gradually recedes, leaving wall paper lace.
Light/med. strength aroma featuring sweet and pithy general citrus notes, sweet honey and crisp grain notes that throw luscious sweet into the mix, some berry like hints. Nice.
Med./full strength taste, much more malty in character than nose predicted, a rich honey sweet that leads the parade. Orange zest and bitter herb join the party. so many fruity notes circulate through the taste it is hard not to just lump them as citrus and tropical. Just enough bitter herb ends the sip.
Low carb., highly viscous, full bodied, with a lingering finish that stays clean and doesn't build on palate.
No surprise Chief is putting out the killer cans of beer he promised. Life be good. Get this if you see it you won't be disappointed.

1/2 growler filled at DeCicco's in Millwood, NY
Pour lightly hazed typical lighter almond amber, moderate eggshell cap, leaves behind nice looking low sheeeting and scattered fine bits of lacing.
Fruity hopped up nose with oranges/tangerine coming to mind.
Brightly flavorful brew with more of the same flowing over the palate. Again oranges and tangerine are in the forefront..fresh, smooth and tasty...solid DIPA...well worth a try

I had this on draught at the brewery. 16 oz. pour in a pint glass. It pours a hazy, bright gold color with a fluffy, milk-white head and extensive lacing that graced the glass throughout the pour. The smell features tangerine notes with grapefruit, a whiff of caramel, and aromatic floral hops. This is a dank ale whose taste opens with a touch of honey on the tip of the tongue followed by a nice blend of tangerine, lemon peel, and crisp, moderately bitter, hops. This ale is medium-bodied with lively carbonation, crisp and smooth, and its 7.7% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, this is a crisp, dry DIPA and has a lite feel despite its ABV. It's well-crafted and a pleasure to drink.
