Sorry, this is no lager by any means. Hops, hops , hops, and then some more hops is all I could taste. ANOTHER American over-hopped garbage, that's all there is to it. IMHO, of course. Maybe its ok for the American hop-heads, but please don't call this a lager! No way it is, not by any European standards it is not.

Poured into a lager glass.
The appearance was a semi-transparent yellow color with some light carbonation seen rising at a moderate pace. Messy lace was strewn about after a small white head slid off fairly quick.
The aroma had sweet biscuits, a stealthy grassy hop peppering the background and a sly crisp lemon sweetness underneath.
The flavor yielded towards the sweet side initially and seemed to develop a keen balance of some of that spicy hoppiness rolling in underneath.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a nice sessionability about it. Crisp sweet lemony bitterness bites dryly. Sly stickiness but seems so mobile along my tongue. Nice crisp finish of the lemon, biscuits and peppery character.
Overall, very nice American pale lager, just an all around easy drinker for the Summer. Would be spectacular with some burgers!

Poured from a 16 ounce can into tulip glass.
Pours a slightly cloudy very light orange color with about two fingers of foamy white head. Smell is grainy with a nice fresh lemon finish. Taste is similar to the smell, with the grain standing out above the lemon. Very easy to drink as it's just below a medium mouth feel. Goes down very smooth and is a great summer beer.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a conical pint glass; produced on 05/15/18.
A: Pours a hazy, lemon yellow color with a one inch, foamy, white head showing good retention, but limited lacing.
S: Aromas of bread, grains, and grasses with a touch of lemon citrus and spiciness (pepper, salt).
T: Palate largely follows the nose with a satisfying bitterness, that leads to a clean, if somewhat spicy finish.
M: Light bodied with light, but very persistent carbonation.
O: Refreshing, enjoyable, clearly designed for summer. Very flavor forward for the style. Definitely just in time for the beach.

16oz tallboy can, sample was sent complimentary from the brewery.
Slightly cloudy dark straw hue, clear enough to see the bubbles rise to the top. White lacing stick well to the glass and leaves some rings down the side of the glass. Smells bready form the malt and slightly spicy from the hops, more or less clean. An underlying rustic graininess melds well the a dry bready maltiness and spicy hop on the palate. Kiss of alcohol, clean crispness. Easy drinking but packed with flavor, perhaps a hint of nuttiness and tannin from the spelt ... this actually makes the beer a bit more interesting IMO. Could easily crush a few of these tallboys at the beach.

A: The beer is slightly hazy light yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a large pillow of bubbles that covered most of the surface, a collar around the edge, and lots of lacy rings of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of floral hops and elderberries are present in the nose. As the beer warms up, strong notes of lemons also become noticeable.
T: The taste has flavors of elderberries with notes of grainy malts and herbal hops, the latter of which linger into the finish. Only a faint amount of bitterness is present.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and a little smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is quite tasty for the style and has a lot of interesting flavors going on.

Pours a slightly cloudy gold with a generous dollop of white foam atop. Spotty lace is left on glass as head shrinks to a lasting ring and wispy island.
Wonderful aroma full of crisp grain, lemony tart, light doughy yeast notes, floral perfume, and slightest spicy bitter.
Wow it is just like the bouquet, a clean and perfectly balanced version that is spectacularly delicious.
Soft on palate, med. carb., very clean and refreshing, with the perfect finish to cap it and set stage for following sips.
Hard to give descriptions that would do justice to how delicious, satisfying, and refreshing this beer is. Highest recommendation.
