This year's celebration of fall, Autumn Landscape, is a NY Common Lager. A common lager, also known as a Steam Beer, is a Lager fermented with yeast tolerant of a higher Ale-ish fermentation profile. Our 100% NYS Common Lager welcomes cool temps with toasty notes of freshly baked bread, a peppery hop note and a wash of fresh malty characteristics.
Our seasonal Landscape Lagers are sourced directly from NYS farms, and give 100% of the profits to a local environmental or agricultural organization. We are proud to support Soul Fire Farm with the sale of Autumn Landscape 2020.

Thanks TongoRad
This hits a lot of the notes for style, but one. Initially the nose popped a vanilla note up my sniffer that threw me into left field. It was just initial, and soon disappeared, never to be seen, er smelled, again. Grainy, bready malt, and hints of herbal spice finally represent in the nose.
Flavor begins with a mildly sweet note, but then the hops begin to come in, and they finish it a bit dry.
Good carbonation, light to medium mouthfeel. Smooth finish.
Overall, quite good. Just curious as to what happened in the beginning. Vanilla? Thankfully it disappeared quickly.

A style not done very often, so excited to try it. Canned 9/30/20
Pours a med frothy foamy head with moderate retention, a touch of lacing, mostly clear slight chill hazed tan to slight orange color
Nose is nice, grainy malt, a bit of cereal and bread dough, a touch of sweet malt and light herbal hop notes, a little fruity but mostly clean
Taste brings a bit more grainy malt, cereal and a bit of bread, some cracker like notes, a touch of fruity notes, with more herbal hops, a touch grassy straw note, lighter bitterness up front then med herbal hop bitterness on the dry finish, lingering herbal hops and a little fruity note
Mouth is med bod, soft lagered feel, higher foamy frothy carb
Overall not bad, good malt character, soft lager-ish character, hops come in nicely as I vaguely remember Anchor Steam kinda like that, so pretty well done

16 oz can, packaged on 9/30/2020.
Attractive medium to dark amber color and slightly hazy. Large, creamy, off-white head with good retention.
Sweet bready malt aroma but it's not without an ample dose of fruit in the form of apple. Lightly spicy hops in the background, but it's the malt and yeast that take center stage here. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Soft and smooth. It finishes dry despite the fruitiness.
Another well-done entry into the Landscape Series. These beers are an automatic buy for me at this point whenever I see them. The sweetness is restrained and it drinks very cleanly.

A: The beer is clear dark golden yellow in color and has hints of amber hues and a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a narrow collar of white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of biscuit/cracker malts and herbal/spicy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and the hops lend a light to moderate amount of bitterness, which lingers into the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer drinks very easily - it's nice to see a beer with 100% New York State ingredients in this style.
