Döbler Altstadt Hell

Sampled vom Fass at the Döbler Brauerei/Restaurant. Pours a clear, light-yellow/straw color...and it takes a while to pour a full glass, by the way. Has a big, billowy white head, lasting seemingly on and on, with fair lacing. Body is a nudge under medium, but it is still quite slick on the tongue. A mild aroma of grassy hops hits you, though it's just a light tap. It doesn't jump out at you at all, despite it being a pleasant aroma. Flavor starts with a minimal amount of malt, maybe a touch crackery. Most of the flavor is mild, floral hops. This is a smooth, easy-drinking Bier, but without a lot of big flavor. Mostly a mild & understated version of the style. Prosit!!
