Another sampling from the taps of the Döbler Brauhaus. This Bier has a deep, dark, clear chestnut hue, with a bit of garnet flickering from within. The head is a light-beige, mousse-like mound measuring about 3" high. It lasts quite well, and sticks well in the glass. The body is a medium one, and feel on the tongue is fairly smooth without being anything to write home about. You have to go searching a tad for the aroma, but when found it is of dark, crystal malts. There is a really nice flavor of dark malts, sort of like a mocha/chocolate tang. This one has a real smooth finish, with that dark, roasty flavor lingering on and on... I like it!! Prosit!!
