M - Thick and chewy.
O - Mild to moderate on flavor intensity, Thompson needs to ratchet it up a notch.

On tap at Thompson Island Brewery, Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Pours a hazy caramel color. A frothy and foamy off white head displays good retention.
The nose opens with notes of tropical fruit supported by a sweet biscuity and caramel malt aroma. Notes of pineapple, mango and passion fruit curiously fade after a couple of minutes only to re-emerge later.
Medium and not quite full bodied, very smooth and soft mouthfeel for a DIPA. It opens with soft tropical fruit flavors, not too sweet and the hops intensity not too spicy. The malt backbone is doughy and biscuity and supports the mango, passion fruit, papaya, zesty lime and grapefruit flavors. The drink becomes more balanced as the herbal hops spices develop. They impart a moderately gentle bitterness along with grassy and piney flavors. The finish is fruity, zesty and dry, while the carbonation is moderate.
Solid DIPA that is less complex and less intense.
