From the can it pours a clear golden color with visible carbonation. A moderate foam head displays decent retention.
The aroma is really interesting with its assortment of well hopped fruity and herbal notes; it kind of smells like an IPA. Fruity notes of peach, kiwi, and lime interplay with grassy and dank aromas, while the malt profile smells bready.
Medium to light bodied and lively carbonated. Unlike the strong aroma, the taste is cleanly flavored and refreshing in the crispness of its mouthfeel. Notes of dry cracker malts, as well as some subtle sweet notes of bread that develop later on. Well hopped with a clean bitterness and flavors of grassy spice, lemon and lime. The finish is crisp, clean and dry.
I don’t have a great deal of experience with this style, nor is it my favorite. However, this was delightful in its refreshing simplicity.
